Mod Podge; An artist's secret tool that can take regular paper and turn it into canvas art.
Mod Podge is a watery glue that can be used on heavier papers to coat and make it possible to paint on top. Turn simple prints or pictures into canvas art! Want to take the easy route? Simply apply to just a canvas board! It's flat and easy to work with. This quick video shows shows a print made at the local Kinko's (a thicker paper than regular loose leaf) being applied with Mod Podge to a canvas. Once the undercoat has dried, apply Mod Podge all over again to create a hard surface. Once that is dry, it allows acrylics paints to be applied on top or even glitter! Mod Podge can be purchased online or in any craft store. Be careful not to use thin papers as they will rip and wrinkle.
