Turn store bought art into original looking prints on a budget

Turn store bought art into original looking prints by adding texture. With very little materials, you can embellish areas of a painting and turn it into something that goes from flat to textured, giving the appearance of original looking art!

Here's all the materials you need:

1. Painting

2. Paint brush or palette knife. Don't have a palette knife, try a plastic knife or spoon. Any paint brush is fine, even if it's super cheap.

3. Paints (3-5 is fine). The small craft paints are perfect and cheap! Take your art to the store if it's not too large and shop for a few colors to match areas.

4. Modeling Paste (in the painters aisle). Once you add this to the cheap paint, it will thicken up and apply like toothpaste. This product does cost more so it's good you're saving on craft paints!

5. Glazing Medium or a Gloss Varnish. Once the paint is dry you will see different sheens. Applying a varnish or medium will create an even coat. You can choose matte or glossy finish.

Just remember that you are not painting over the entire picture. Just find a few sections and apply that paint and modeling paste.

Voila! Enjoy your expensive looking art on a budget!
